On Sunday I continued my marathon weekend of photographing every under the sun to the tune of over 5000 images.. Yikes!
I had the pleasure of getting together with Anne and Scott for a little engagement session action down in the 5th ward. I am glad I finally was able to get together with these two, it was a long time coming. Scott being in medical school really puts a bind on his schedule to have photo shoots ( I’m sure he has more of them than anyone can imagine).
(Record screech)
Lets rewind a little bit for a moment. I met Anne and Scott through a co worker of mine, Jarod ( More about him later..). We had got together right after my wonderful stay in Las Vegas for WPPI 2010. We chatted, had a coffee at Alterra (In my case hot chocolate) professed out love for the brewers, I think I may even have asked them to marry me. But I am not to sure on that…
Scott and I had talked over facebook and countless emails about locations, dates, time of day, fashion advice ( The most fashion advice I can offer up would have been learned from Tim Gunn on Project Runway). After long, hard, FBI style interrogations of each other we settled on last Sunday.
Ok, back to now’ish!
We met up at the Milwaukee Public Market and made our way from there to the 5th ward. Headed to a few of my favorite spots and even a few new ones that I have never been to before. I proved to be an adventure for sure.
Things took a turn for the crazy at that point. Scott cut his hand open on a hunk of glass, I was asked repeatedly by a unibomber esq man if I needed a ride, ran into kids trying to break into an abandon building. And the mention of Jarod popped up as well. Soooo…. There had been a running promise made by Jarod to myself, Anne, and Scott. That he would find us while we were having our wonderful time and run through streaking in the background of all the photos. If most people made this promise, you would just brush it off, laugh and keep on. I wasn’t so sure that would be the case with Jarod. Anne and Scott brought it up while we were in a small field and the thought kept crossing my mind. Luckily or unluckily (Depends who you ask) he did not find us. But I will be keeping an eye from here on out on you, sir!
Well enjoy!
